Hello, my name is Alia Boentaran. I started PopAbrush around the beginning of the Pandemic on July 2021.

I was a complete beginner and an autodidact.  I fell in love with painting from the very first experience. My first painting was   called; “ Step It Up”.  My style was evident right away, which was; Kids Art/ Naïve Art.  Since then, it has become my signature style.  That is why, I believe everybody can paint, just start first.

I continued exploring
with different styles and mediums. PopAbrush has become my total creative expression.

I’ve started volunteering ; teaching drawing at SDS Rumah Kita in Central Jakarta. This has been my greatest pride and joy.

I’ve also participated in five painting exhibitions since 2024.

Lastly, I’ve made Calenders and T-Shirts for sale.

You can say my art is mostly kids art that is one of a kind. I believe PopAbrush is for everybody. Start where you’re at.Bring out the playful magic in you. If I can, you can too!
