“My First Comic Strip”

I’ve just started learning how to make a comic strip. I’ve come up with of two original characters.  They are Lymie and Blubie. They are sisters. Lymie is the youngest and Blubie is the eldest. I named the youngest Lymie, because she wears a lime green dress. And the eldest is Blubie, because she wears a blue outfit.

After deciding the characters and the theme, next is learning how to

make the lay out and paneling. Usually a comic strip has four panels (Squares). My first comic strip is about an introduction to Lymie and Blubie three panels.

Let’s dive in a little bit further about the five basic rules in making a comic.

  1. Lay out. (Paneling) from small and big panels.
  2. Points of reading
  3. Balloon Text.
  4. Timing
  5. Typography

There are many examples of comic strips, such famous American ones are Peanuts, Archie and Garfield.
