“ Ken Done, My Number # 1 Inspiration”

I’ve known Ken Done since I was ten years old; when I came to his shop for the first time while visiting Sydney, Australia. I can still remember vividly how much I fell in love with his design instantly. Until now, I will never forget my how special he is. Ken Done has a naïve, colorful and one of a kind style that is truly his own. He’s my true source of inspiration. He’s famous for being Australia’s first iconic designer who caught the world’s attention. And his reputable reputation has remained until today.

Ken Done was born 29 June 1940 in Sydney. He studied at National Art School in East Sydney. After he finished school, he worked as a successful art director abroad. Later on, he came back to Australia to pursue painting full-time. He received numerous achievements. His famous ones were, Ken Done’s exhibition in the Powerhouse Museum in 2002, and as “Father of the Year” in Goodwill Ambassador for Unisex since 1988. His main shop: “ The Ken Done Gallery” is located in Sydney. Other than his paintings, the shop also sells various merchandises.

Ken Done is recognized as the symbol of Australian art and design. Ken Done has a tremendous influence in my art. Ultimately, he holds a special place in my heart.
